This 1/54 comes in a wooden box wih
the Faber-Castell logo in silver in the inside. On the box are scratched
the initals of an owner: "G.J.H.". On most
proporties, this variation is a mixture of the 1st and 2nd variation.
This makes sense as the date of manufacturing is in between the 2 other
ones.

Two minor differences with the
variation 4:
- The back is laminated paper instead of
printed plastic. Apparantly this change in techology was introduced
between 1951 en 1953
- The box is (strangely enough) 1 cm thinner
than the one from variation 3.
In the slide rule and in the box is
scratched: "R.G. Shenton" |
